Statler Hotel
From CUWiki
The Statler Hotel is located in the middle of the Ithaca campus. It is highly convenient for visitors to the campus, but the prices are often higher than surrounding hotels in the Ithaca area. Guest rooms start on the 3rd floor. In reserving a room, it is ideal to request a room higher than the third floor since third floor rooms are set back behind a flat roof. Rooms on the higher floors have excellent views into downtown Ithaca looking west, or into the country for some of the higher rooms facing east.
[edit] About
The hotel is the namesake of businessman Ellsworth Milton Statler.
[edit] Dining
The hotel's restaurant, Taverna Banfi, is excellent although expensive. In addition to the Banfi, the lower level of the hotel houses a busy cafeteria catering to students during class hours. In the academic, older portion of the hotel building, the ground floor houses Mac and Cheese, a to-go style eatery. Both dining centers accept cash, and during lunch hours, Big Red Bucks.
