MetaEzra, spelled METAezra in the title banner of the site, is an unofficial blog directed towards alumni of Cornell University. It was founded in 2006. The site runs on the Movable Type engine and uses two slogans to describe itself: "An alumni blog about Ezra's University" and "Far Beyond Cayuga's Waters". Articles revolve around newsworthy events at Cornell, often providing commentary on articles from the Cornell Daily Sun, the Cornell Chronicle, and Inside Higher Ed, among other sources.

[edit] Staff

MetaEzra is published by Matthew Nagowski '05. Andy Guess '05 is the associate editor. Marc Zawel '04 has also published articles, but his last post was made on June 17, 2006 for unexplained reasons. All three editors are involved with the literary/education world. Nagowski is involved with higher education research and was the founding editor of The Muse. Guess is a journalist with Inside Higher Ed and a former Cornell Daily Sun editor-in-chief. Zawel is a former managing editor to the Cornell Daily Sun and author of Untangling the Ivy League.
