Cornell Statistics
From CUWiki
Cornell maintains a variety of sites related to the disbursement of basic facts and information about the university.
Contents |
[edit] Cornell Facts
Cornell Facts is a annually produced document providing general facts about the university. The 2007-2008 edition is 27 brochures pages long and includes information such as university endowment amount, graduates of note, administrators, and faculty and student numbers.
[edit] Facts Search
Facts Search is the successor to Infobase, a CUinfo service. It provides "institutional information, Cornell trivia, [answers to] frequently asked questions, and more." It is integrated with the search Cornell section of the Cornell main site.
[edit] People Search
People Search is a web interface for Cornell's LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) system. This system maintains basic information about members of the university. Information is entered via the WhoIAm service or through other systems which interface with the server.[1]
[edit] DPB Facts
The Division of Planning and Budget facts page provides Cornell's common data set, enrollment trends reports, graduation reports, and organization charts. This information is commonly used by media.
[edit] Median Grade Reports
Median Grade Reports for all classes are provided by the Cornell Registrar. This is useful in determining the expected difficulty of a course.[2]
[edit] Building Utility Usage
The utility usage information for most buildings is provided by Facilities Services. After searching for a building of interest, the information is available under building O&M costs > utilities cost and use. The system is still under development as of December 2007, so all resource information may not be available.
